This project was done during my final year at Manchester School of Art.
Too often our society equates “environmentalism” with personal consumerism. So, in order to be “good,” we have to live a zero-waste lifestyle, stop using Amazon Prime and go on a vegan diet.
This overemphasis on individual action shames people for their everyday activities, which is caused by the fossil fuel-dependent system they were born into. Meanwhile the environmental crimes from just a handful of corporations are often ignored.
